Upgrades

What’s left? Time to break ground! This is the point where I’ll fast forward a bunch because not much happens between picking the upgrades and moving in. Except for, you know, the whole building-the-house thing. In all seriousness though, there was not much else expected from us during this time. We tried to make a point to go out to the site each weekend to see the progress.

Come along with us in a time lapse of our visits!

And this is where I pause to tell you I freaked out on this visit. If you’ll notice the mini-submarine in the center of the picture, that is our propane tank. Placed, essentially, right in the center of our back yard! We had made a point to mention on several occasions that we wanted a say in this location, but, like I said in an earlier post, what they say and what they do doesn’t always match up. Make sure whatever you want is in writing! That cannot be emphasized enough. With some strong resistance, we finally got them to move it to a more ideal location (for a fee).

Let’s continue with the fun stuff!

And now we are real-time folks! Isn’t it crazy how fast a house goes up?! Now any new posts will be pretty close to what’s currently happening.
